Abstract:
Although women contribute to half the brainpower on earth, they are the most underutilized resource, except
for their involvement in physical labour. Education and training women, whilst empowering them with skills
can help in enterprise development. The government should take the onus of empowering women with skills.
Entrepreneurship as a career is rapidly picking up speed and becoming more and more popular. Several
factors contribute to the emergence of entrepreneurship as a viable career option, including cut throat
competition in jobs as well as economic boom. Further, due to the boom in Indian economy many individuals
have quit their jobs to pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations (Loss & Bascunan 2011). This study utilizes
the concept of entrepreneurial attitude to investigate how entrepreneurship education influences women
graduates’ perception and motivations towards entrepreneurship in general and their own entrepreneurial
activities in particular.
