Abstract:
The economic growth of the country largely depends on the pool of educated manpower. The present higher
education system has failed to meet the aspiration of the graduating students and also of the country. The so
called educated manpower, in general, has proved to become the liabilities of the country in stead of being
assets. A radical change in thinking and a quantum shift in attitude and action in education strategy are
needed to reinvent the education ecosystem. In today’s world it is not the content of knowledge that is
important, but the way one transforms the knowledge into commercial activities and derives economic
benefits out of it, are the utmost requirement. Also no country can ever be great and prospering unless the
young are ambitious, risk taking and enterprising. Indian talent and entrepreneurial skill are well respected
around the world. However the present education system has failed to attract the best talent as well as to pull
the young educated generation to motivate in own start ups. Thus it is need of the time to foster
Entrepreneurial Eco systems in Higher Educational Institutions in India so that the young graduates
becomes the job provider, not the job seeker and generate employment and bring prosperity and laurels for the
country.
