dc.description.abstract Entrepreneurship at the bottom of the pyramid (BOP) is a growing research area now, due to its impact in emerging and developing world. It has attracted researchers to highlight various aspects concerning a major chunk of the population in developing countries. The objective of this empirical research study is to know entrepreneurship development factors and highlight role played by human capital and social capital in it. The study is based on global entrepreneurship monitor (GEM) data set and sample from population of low lying income group in India. The results confirm important links between human capital, social capital and entrepreneurship in BOP. The use of logistic regression also confirmed that there is a positive impact of human capital and social capital on entrepreneurship intention development. The study implicates that entrepreneurship development is possible in every income group and community, for which the requirement is utilization of resource and building support groups and ecosystem. en_US
