Abstract:
Often, the problems faced by innovative individuals propel them to think of
solutions for easing out the troubles for self. The solution may be of a scalable
nature with scope of expansion for general benefit to society and if in the process,
a profitable business outlook emerges nothing betters it. The purpose of this study
is to explore the journey of an entrepreneurial endeavour to understand the
underlying strategic intent for the success. The case study draws from secondary
resources and brings in the element of authenticity through additional material
and primary interviews of the founders available in supplementary resources thus
plugging in the voids in constructing the case. The case also attempts to bring out
the traits of an innovative entrepreneur creating an inclusive ecosystem through
community connect for business growth. The broad objectives are to identify
entrepreneurial traits that foster innovation, analyse the model of the business,
and bring out the strategic intent linking the innovative practices of the incumbent
enterprise ‘CommonFloor’ in a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous
(VUCA) business environment.
