dc.description.abstract |
The article reviews the extant scholarly discourse on entrepreneurship education –
the origins, design, pedagogy, and the effects. The central question “Can
Entrepreneurship be taught” appears to have been put to rest by considering
entrepreneurship as a method. Entrepreneurship education also needs to keep up
with new insights about the entrepreneurial process and the changing nature of
entrepreneurship. The paper takes stock of the state of entrepreneurship education in
India and suggests a framework for aligning entrepreneurial education with the
needs of the society in the context of the country’s goals of becoming a five trillion
dollar economy. The paper is expected to stimulate thinking among the academia on
how to design and deliver entrepreneurship education that contributes to building an
entrepreneurial India. |
