Tourism boom conceivable can be viewed as an approach for Rural Development
which is unique and a niche market for the country like India, where nearly 74
percent of the populace resides in rural areas. One can definitely highlight that
endorsement of village tourism as an entire machine for socio-economic
advantages to the rural people, it can additionally be viewed as a multi- sectorial
recreation and the industry is affected by means of many different sectors of the
nation’s economic system (Kulkarni, 2010). In the recent years rural tourism has
developed itself as a major catalyst for the development of new tourism product.
But at the same time, it faces some major threats and challenges with the growing
demand and lack of sustainable planning. Hence government and private sectors
need to make certain healthier linkages and co-ordination for the improvement
and growth of the rural areas. The current study is different and focuses more
about the sustainable development in the Maharashtra district of India. The study
will also try to investigate how Rural tourism can also increase social, cultural
and instructional values, and can grant a new dimension for shaping the human
resources mainly the younger entrepreneurs. Baum, (2006) highlighted about the
integration of economy and the environment of rural regions without which the
real danger that rural tourism will fail or may create damage to the destination
or host community will exist, which eventually makes it necessary to study in
detail and present the real benefits to the people. |
