dc.description.abstract Specifics of founder-entrepreneur leadership in family businesses have attracted scholars focus. Our study reviews four concepts founder-entrepreneur, familiness, paternalism and paternalistic leadership. The systematic review identifies major contributors to these concepts. We contrast and integrate two major concepts of familiness and paternalism. An outcome establishes linkages between familiness and paternalism showcasing paternalistic leadership approach or style. Moreover, we merge two models of type of capital and Filep’s model to create a strategic resource model of specifics to founder-entrepreneur in family firm leadership. Finally, we discuss beneficial avenues for research. en_US
