dc.description.abstract The micro, small and medium business sector plays an important role in promoting entrepreneurial talent and the distribution of income and wealth at the local level. It contributes enormously to production, export, job creation and gross domestic product. Women are a catalyst for the country's economic development. In traditional societies, the potential and immense power of women due to their limitations at home has not been recognized and adequately used. As the times change, women come out of these difficult positions to participate in entrepreneurship as their profession. Now the decision makers have recognized the production potential of women and their economic importance, which is reflected in an increase in the gross domestic product. The contribution made by women in the MSMEs sector cannot be ignored. especially in rural areas, where the rural economy has been strengthened through job creation in micro, small and medium-sized units. However, the growth of women's entrepreneurship has been slow due to practical problems and social attitudes. This paper focuses on women's empowerment and the role of the MSMEs perspective in India, and also explores MSMEs growth, barriers to women entrepreneurs and government initiatives for growth and Women empowerment development through entrepreneurship. Finally, suggestions will be specified for obliterating the hindrances and creating better environment for women empowerment through entrepreneurship. en_US
