dc.description.abstract |
Entrepreneurship, commonly seen as a colosseum of innovation, represents the progress of a country. In recent years, especially in India, a greater governmental focus on entrepreneurship has resulted in a tremendous rise in entrepreneurial activities. But, women entrepreneurs face a lot of challenges due to the systematic and societal bias towards them. The first part of this paper discusses the major issues faced by businesswomen by reviewing the existing literature. In the next section, I analyse and present the vital issues that affect women in maintaining a balance between being in the workforce and family. In order to address this issue, I propose a framework for a business development service using time as a currency to promote women entrepreneurship. This service could serve as a marketplace for women entrepreneurs who could otherwise not allocate dedicated working hours but have the skills and experience to efficiently complete certain tasks while at the same time helping industrialists get their non-routine jobs completed seamlessly. |
