dc.description.abstract |
The status of women in India has seen a vast change in the past few years. In modern India we have seen women as a president, prime minister, speaker of the lok-sabha and leader of opposition etc. The contribution of women to the society cannot be over sighted as they constitute about one-half of the total population where women in urban areas have shown a considerable contribution in MSME’s as well. For women residing in rural area often find social and cultural barriers in their path towards entrepreneurship. Likewise women’s rights continue to improve in rural area as well. Rural women play a key role in supporting their role in family and community in creating security, generating income and improving their rural livelihoods and overall well-being. This research work is to study the change in socio economic conditions of women due to micro level business. Business at micro level is considered to be the incubator stage for entrepreneurs. The study will also focus on the various schemes provided by government and its effectiveness to understand its contribution towards empowering women. Percentage analysis and CAGR will be applied to understand the data more accurately. Thus will help in understanding change occurred in rural women with respect to socio-economic condition. As inner satisfaction will provide strength for a women to take a bigger leap in future. |
