dc.description.abstract In the changing global context, like other developing countries India strives to achieve double digit growth. Various policies and schemes are mooted for increasing the productivity of MSMEM sector thereby GDP rate. As India being an ‘agri nation’ more thrust is being given for development through agriculture economy and has initiated scheme schemes viz; Formation of 10000 FPOs and One District One Product Programme. They functions with stand-alone modus operandi and author claims a proper convergence of them focusing local economic development mode through local self-governments. This will provide a better scope for value chain development, which is limited in India, but will result into a multi-faceted growth of MSME sector. en_US
