According to Assocham-CRISIL Report 2022,India’s MSME sector is estimated to coversome 63 million firms, employing more than11.1 million workers. It accounts for 27% of GDP and is the key in employment, exports and lending opportunities, with its contribution in merchandised exports of 45.04% during the financial year 2022. These small, micro, medium scale organizations are established by creative entrepreneurs of the country and their growth can be judged on the basis of growth of entrepreneurship. Growth of entrepreneurship positively is correlated by the quality of entrepreneurship education and teaching methodology of the discipline in higher education institutions. These institutions inculcate entrepreneurial skills among students and act as driving force to choose their profession as an entrepreneur in future. Education is indispensable solution for all social, economic problems of the economy, and the country can solve their evils by adopting integrated education system. Higher education institutions are the reservoirs of knowledge and they equip the students with necessary skills and talents as per the requirement of current knowledge economy. As Kothari Commission pointed out “The destiny of India, is being shaped in the classroom”. Formal teaching and training are the two key role players in shaping the future profession of students. Teaching faculties of these institution act as game changers in coining innovative ideas and skills in the minds of the pupils. |
