dc.description.abstract Entrepreneurship in agriculture and primary processing activities is a relatively under-researched area. This paper looks at these activities as possible entry points of industrial entrepreneurship, and explores the nature, pattern and problems of entrepreneurship in two primary processing industries in Punjab. It also examines the pattern of investment of agricultural surplus and finds that the trading and merchant castes, which could earn considerable surplus in the food grain trade in the wake of the Green Revolution, dominate these industries in the state. en_US
