Abstract:
Sustainable entrepreneurship (SE) is a kind of an entrepreneurship that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability, efficiency and values of future generations to meet their own needs. The specific objectives of this research are: (i) To Implement the concept of SE, (ii) To formulate and appraise forty three number of
detailed project reports (DPRs) of Diploma in Entrepreneurship and Business Management (DEBM) extension learners in eleven batches attached with the DEBM Counselor and Co-ordinator of Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India-Ahmedabad (EDI) during the research year (RY) 2007-2014, (iii) To design and develop a comprehensive green economic system towards green economy and (v) To promote sustainable entrepreneurial policy for an efficient socio-economic transformation. The design of the study is cross sectional. DEBM extension learners were equipped with the knowledge, skills and motivation to set up their sustainable enterprises and function
dynamically and manage successfully. Entrepreneurial business planning assessment regime (EBPAR) concerned to forty three DPRs has been appraised. The result analysis of forty three extension learners has been discussed. Green designs find that products and services are environmental advantage with sustainable production, good
performance and prices. Pilot plant of research study has been completed on unsafe chromium from Ethiopian cotton roller ginneries and design and development of green design roller gin rollers for cotton gins duly investigated and demonstrated in a ginning factory.A research study DPR-IIon Addis Ababa International Airport (AAX) waste minimization(WM)has been provided. This cost efficient integrated municipal solid waste management (IMSWM) approach has been introduced by intensive recycling programs. Such low-carbon and energy-efficient technologies of hi-tech industries make important contributions to mitigating the impacts of economic growth on
global warming. SE provides innovation to improve science and technology extension system and sustainable mechanization for mitigation of rural poverty. Based on project formulation and appraisal of forty three number of DPRs, green design products and services were initiated by DEBM students attached with the expert counselor during the RY 2006-2014.This action-based and field research study on SE promotes policy recommendation to strengthen scientific and technical extension education.
