The conceptual reach of entrepreneurship is not confined to the start-up stage of an enterprise; it encompasses subsequent developments as well. Seen in this fashion, entrepreneurship comprises a continuum of strategic decisions resulting in the emergence, consolidation and growth of an enterprise. Focusing attention on the Ahmedabad textile industry, which seems to have been gripped by an unending crisis, this paper suggests that an entrepreneurial outlook may offer hope for even a traditional industry, fighting for survival in a hostile environment. |
