dc.description.abstract |
Fruits are available only for a limited period during season and hence they need to be
preserved for consumption during off-season. They can be preserved in the form of syrup,
juice, cordial, squash, chutney, jam and so on. Apples are available for around 6-7 months
and if they are preserved in the form of chutney or preserve, then they can be consumed
round the year. Availability of good quality apples at competitive rates is crucial. During offseason,
same set up can be utilised for other fruits. |
