Abstract:
Promoting micro enterprise is now a well-accepted means to facilitate economic
development in the rural areas. The Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) are
contributing substantially to this process. Building capacities of such institutions to assist
the rural youth in assuming entrepreneurial identity has paid rich dividends.
Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI) has contributed to the process
through Training of Trainers on MiCro Entrepreneurship Development. With a view to
increase the outreach of this crucial developmental activity, a training programme for the
trainers from NGOs of Kamataka on Micro Entrepreneurship Development was
organised at Bangalore during 28th April- 9th May, 2008.
