dc.description.abstract India is known for preparing artistic objects from dehydrated flowers. Though this art form is yet to take commercial shape, objects prepared from dehydrated flowers like greeting cards, wall plates, scenery, flower decoration in glass or plastic bottles, paper weights etc can find a wide untapped market. These objects when protected from sunlight and humidity can serve as decorative purpose for a long time. The technique of dehydrating flowers has been developed by the National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow and training is imparted in making artistic objects out of the dehydrated flowers. en_US
