Abstract:
Ahmedabad, situated on the Sabarmati River,
is one of the fastest urbanizing cities of India.
Since a long time the Sabarmati River, which
passes through the centre of Ahmedabad, has
been subject to severe pressure and abuse,
owing to the rapid urban and industrial growth
of the city. However, it’s potential to provide
city level social infrastructure and recreation
lies untapped.
