Abstract

EDI, as the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmedabad is popularly known as, is well known for its entrepreneurship training, education, research and institution building initiatives. However, what the Institute is also characterized with, is a lively and spirited ambience across the 23 acres that the Institute covers. The spectacular buildings on campus, sport the elegant and modern trend of exposed brick construction. The design is such that it appeals to the conventional and the contemporary alike. No wonder, EDI has been awarded with the prestigious 'Aga Khan Award for Architecture'. The Award Jury adjudged it to be a place with an 'inviting environment for work interaction and repose.'
