dc.description.abstract The potential to develop new markets in financial, agriculture, health, education and social networking services is enormous in rural India, where about 60 percent of people live-in. Information and credit play a major role in rural areas productivity and its economic and social upliftment in general. Even the credit access to the most disadvantaged sections of the society is the direction from Reserve Bank of India. Inadequate credit in time brings down the productivity and leads to development divide. The solution is a technology based intervention business model can invent new ways to achieve minimum credit services reach to rural citizens. This paper discusses a case Ekgaon, is one such initiative whose major objective is to facilitate credit to rural entrepreneurs by its mobile based tools. The mobile services intervention providing a chance for credit in-time facilitation to improve rural citizens living conditions with adopted innovative business plans. Finally observed benefits of socio-economic in nature are looked into so such services assist to bridge the development divide. en_US
