dc.description.abstract | Atmospheric gas oil boils in the range of 200-4000C. A dilution steam to hydrocarbon weight ratio of 0.8-1.0 is employed to give the appropriate hydrocarbon partial pressure at furnace cracking conditions. Gas oil ,cracking yields a considerable amount of carbonaceous heavy fuel oil in addition to the usual range of products from cracking naphtha and lighter feeds. The primary fractionator is therefore much larger to allow for this. | en_US |
