dc.description.abstract The technology of used lubricating oil regeneration has been utilized for many years in industrialized countries and more recently in developing countries. This development has occurred for two main reasons: (i) to prevent pollution of ground and water by waste oil; (ii) to reduce the need to import fresh crude oil or lubricating oils and hence diminish the national dependence on foreign sources. The second reason is especially true for those developing countries which have no oil reserves. en_US
