dc.description.abstract The fuel pump is a device which sucks gasoline out of the gasoline tank and forces it into the carburetor by utilizing mechanical power from the camshaft. The carburetor is a device which mixes air with gasoline spray to make an explosive mixture in an internal combustion engine. When carburetors and fuel pumps get old, they can become clogged and various parts such as gaskets and springs can become worn and lose their effectiveness. en_US
