Abstract:
Cashew trees, which are native to Brazil, are relatively tall and grow
well separated from each other. The nut, known and accepted world-wide,
consists of a seed covered with a shell containing a very corrosive oil and
this unit, which is properly called the fruit, is attached to the bottom of a
large, juicy pseudo-fruit or apple (see figure
