dc.description.abstract This study has attempted to understand certain psychological variables which impact the role of women entrepreneurs in their work arena focusing on role efficacy and coping with role stress and the interrelationships between the two variables. The sample consisted of 200 women entrepreneurs located in the states of Maharashtra and Karnataka. Data on the variables under study were gathered using the Role PICs (E) and the Role Efficacy Scale (RES). Results based on statistical analysis of the data partially supported the hypotheses linking the two variables. From the results of the study, it appears that women entrepreneurs use coping to increase their Role Efficacy and that Role Efficacy leads to optimization of Coping. en_US
