Abstract:
Margarine was first made by a
Frenchman; Monsieur Mege Mauries in
1869 for use as a substitute of natural
or genuine butter.
In the rudimentary stage of the
manufacture of margarine, it was impossible
to use all kinds of oils and fats as
raw materials of margarine due to
primitive oil refining techniques.
