We are living in the age of the entrepreneur, with entrepreneurship endorsed by educational institutions, governmental units, society and corporations. Yet many in our country do not even get the basic needs fulfilled. The role of entrepreneurship in economic development involves more than just increasing per capita output and income. It also involves initiating and constituting change in the structure of business and society. In our country media has a very large influence upon people. They get motivated by the way an actor/actress acts in the screen. The media creates a desire among the people for any product or services of any company. With such a large potential the media could also create a desire among our people to start out their own ventures rather than they being job seekers. Media consists of many means but the researcher I have limited their study to television, radio, and newspaper. Newspapers are now available in all languages. Most of the literates read the newspaper first once they get up in the morning. Television also provides news, serials, etc. in all languages. Even illiterates can watch television and understand that. Nowadays the radios are booming. Many mobile phones, personal computers, mp3 players have radio incorporated into them. One can even do some other work while listening to the radio. In this paper the researchers have suggested the various ways that of media can help people in starting their own ventures. |
