dc.description.abstract | Composite containers sometimes are also called fibre cans or paper cans. They are considered as one-way packages that are used for filling materials having a shelf life of up to one year maximum. Their main raw material is paper or cardboard (mostly recycled paper). In other words: only few irretrievable resources will be used. This results in a price advantage of 10 to 20% compared with tinplate cans or similar packaging materials. The disposal of these containers after use does not present any problem either, since they can be burnt in incineration plants or handled by baling presses and stored in refuse pits or dumps for biological decomposition. | en_US |
