Abstract

Barbed wire is mainly used for fencing purposes. The areas of its use are houses, gardens, fields, prohibited areas and other similar lands. Barbed wire fencing prevents the entrance of the un-wanted animals, persons etc. and it is one of the cheapest material to protect one's own property. Barbed wire is manufactured out of GI Wire by using automatic machine and the' process does not involve any intricate technology. The product has wide market potential throughout the country. The required raw-material and the Plant and machinery for the purpose are readily and indigenously available and a unit under small scale sector would be a most viable one.
