Abstract

I. Product and its uses Flaring tool is used for flaring the pipe-ends when they are to be secured to the nipples with the help of nuts. Flaring is done on both ferrous and non-ferrous pipes. Ferrous pipes are used when there is very high pressure the pipe such as on hydraulic processes. In such cases pipes have to be pre-heated before flaring. Hand operated flaring tools are normally used for copper, brass and aluminium pipes. Normal ranges of pipes used for flaring are 4 mm to 16 mm dia. There is good scope for this item in India as well as developing countries of Africa and Middle East etc.
