Abstract:
Banks play a significant role in determining the economical situation of a country. The rapid developing Information and Communications Technology (ICT) has been widely used in financial and banking practices since the end of the twentieth century. This application has led to the creation of electronic banking and the development of technology-related standards. Since ICT is still growing, new entrepreneurial opportunities are continuously emerging which can have a dramatic influence on the wellbeing of a nation capturing and utilizing them. This paper has developed a model to identify the above mentioned opportunities at ICT area of financial and banking processes based on a field study conducted to depict entrepreneurial opportunities in baking business. The influencing factors which are initiating the entrepreneurial opportunities are depicted and illustrated.
