Product and its uses .The item ~sused for lighting the roads, streets, railway station platforms etc. In the olden days, t!Iis item was. made 'of cast iron consisting of a pillar usually III a decorative desizn and body in the form of a square pyramid at the top f,?r housing the lamp. Such lamps are rarely seen In the developed areas where electrification has tak:c~ place. The lighting is now done usually with th~ flourescent tube lights fitted on tubular or fabricated poles and tubular or fabricated fittings. II. Market Potential As explained above the lighting in a developed area IS usually done with the electric flourescent tube/mercury vapour lamps on tubular poles etc. However in the remote areas where electric 'power ha~' not reac~ed, the lamp posts and bodies may still be required for lighting with the kerosene lamps. en_US
