dc.description.abstract I. Product And its uses Apparatus for liquid level controllers falls into the following main classes: (1) Mechanical, (2) Pneumatic, (3) Electrical, (4) Electronics, and (5) Nuclosonic. The simplest example of the Mechanical Type is the ordinary level gauge glass. This type of level gauge consists of a vertical glass tube with a float made up of rubber or plastic.. Float operated Dial Type: This type is adopted for use on small tanks and engine rooms. It is simple in principle consists of a loat moving up and down with the liquid level at the end of a privoted arm. An switch may be fitted on a potentometer to give a control action. The choice of apparatus to test level, instruments on site or to arrive at Data is governed to a large extent by conditions and accordingly selection is made. (1) Dip and tape. (2) Hook gauge. (3) Displacing by liquid measure. (4) Displacement by weight. (5) Displacement by positive type flow meter. (6) Test gauge. en_US
