dc.description.abstract I. Product & its use Bicycle lock Nuts & Rings are used to hold the handle bar of the bicycle in position. They also keep the lamp bracket and handle bar in locked position. The lock nut and ring are generally made out of EN-8 or Mild Steel conforming to structural steel IS : ,226-1962. (Reserved List No. 712). n, Market Potential The lock nuts and rings are supplied to the Bicycle manufactures as original parts. The replacement market is rarely. there. Hence the enteipreneur has to contact the bicycle manufactures before going for this product for assessing the demand in the market. m. Production Target (Per annum) It is proposed to manufacture 1800 gross of lock nuts a~d rings per annum. IV. Production Details and Process of M~lliufacture The hexagonal bars are fed to auto lathes where they are turned drilled and parted' off. The threading operation of lock nut is done on tapping machine. Similarly round bars are fed to auto lathes for manufacture of rings. The bars are turned, knurled, drilled and parted off to size. The rings and nuts are polished, Nickel plated and packed for despatch. en_US
