I. Introduction
A. The extent of present day use of Agricultural
machinery in a basically agricultural country
like ours, needs no introduction. Apart from
various agricultural implements, power operated
agricultural machinery such as maize shelter, for
removing the grains from maize cobs, seed
cleaners, used for small lots of seeds for cleaning-
cum-grading, rice polisher and seed tractor
are some of other agricultural machinery having
fieid applications in agriculture.
B. Market Pote,tial
The demand for the power operated agricultural
machinery will depend on the power
supply in the villages. There is a good scope
for these machinery with the increased power
supply coming to many of the villages in the
future.
