Rajasthan and Gujarat have started Mechanised Sheep Shearing. The main buyers of sheep shearing machines are Sheep and Wool Department, Animal Husbandry, Department of State Governments. In the past sheep shearing machines were imported from Australia and U.K. and these imported machines were popular. There is a good scope of this item in the country.
