Abstract:
I. Product and its uses
Many of the agricultural products falling
under grains and pulses need to be dehusked i.e.
the husks on the grains removed, to make them
suitable for consumption. Tbis is acbieved either
manually i.e. by hand pounding or by power
operated shell huskers. Shell huskers up to
5 H.P. motive power is reserved for SSI Sector
under registration No. 504.
II. Market Potential
With the increase in agricultural production
and rural electrification, the demand for Shell
husker is also increasing. As -such there is a
good market potential for tbis product.
