I. Product and its uses
Steel furniture is preferred by house-holds
and offices for its durability and easy handling.
It is preferred as most of them are foldable and
can be transported easily. In small houses, the
steel furniture provides added advantage as
these could be folded and kept aside, thus provide
more living accommodation whenever required.
Steel chairs find extensive use in middle
and upper class families. In this profile manufacture
of folding type steel chairs and'S' type
of tabular steel chairs with plastic caned back
and seat are proposed. Steel chairs are also
used by caterers for social functions, canteens
ana offices etc.
II. Market Potential
As mentioned above, the steel chairs are required
for use in houses and offices. Steel
chairs are also extensively used by caterers and
decorators for social functions and meetings etc.
With decreasing availability of timber for furniture,
the demand of steel chairs is increasing
every year. The marketing of the product is
done through steel furniture dealers.
