Abstract:
I. Product and its uses
Stranded wire and galv nised stay strand is
manufactured by stranding or twisting together
a number of G.I. wires depending upon the
stay wire requirements. This wire is mainly
used as stay wire for the electricty poles, telephone
and telegraph poles. It is also used for
fencing. The wire is used by Railways for
signalling purposes and for the opening and
closing of gates.
II. Market Potential
The main users of the product are various
Government Departments like Electricity Board.
Post and Telegraph and Railways etc. The
product has thus a very good market potential
due to the policy of Government for electrification
of even the remote places of the country.
The Railway and P. & T. Departments have
their expansion programmes and thus there is
good scope for development of this industry.
