Abstract:
I. Introduction
In the measurement of time, spring driven
pendulum clocks are generally very well made
and lasts many years. These are generally
termed as Wall clocks and the principal part
of this clock is the pendulum. The pendulum
lathe is actual time keeper and the test of the
clock merely serves to keep the pendulum
vibrating and to record its number of vibration
upon the dial.
The motive power is a steel main spring
coiled up inside barrel>. The motion is transmitted
to a main wheel and revolves and dries
the pinion of the centre wheel. The centre
wheel drives the pinion of the third wheel. The
third wheel drives the pinion of the escape
wheel.
