In a business world filled with cut throat competition, standing out is becoming increasingly difficult day by day. Even if a product or service is innovative enough, creating a sustainable business model is the real challenge. As is the case with every field, of late the pace of innovation has increased tremendously in the area of business models compared to what it used to be.In this information & knowledge era, it is not only important to come up with brilliant business model/s but scale it up without being copied and improvised further at a rapid pace before others catch up.This paper is an attempt to look at the history of some of the revolutionary business models including some not so well known business models that I researched on, their evolution and the path forward. In the process, it has been attempted to look at the clues for us to theorise the trend for the benefit of society at large. While this paper is not
an exhaustive/elaborate attempt it is a beginning in that direction taking forward my concept of ‘Tweaking’ further. |
