Abstract:
Indian Biotechnology sector is going through robust growth fueled by growing industry demands, R&D
activities and government initiatives. However, currently there is still a large gap among academia, research
institutes and industries in terms of education and knowledge sharing. Industries and research institutes are
advancing at much faster rate than academic institutes such as colleges and universities. Therefore, when a
student passes out from university to pursue career in either research or industry, s/he faces lots of challenges
due to lack of training and skill sets required in the respective sectors. It, thus, necessitates to bridge the gap
between academia, research institutes and industry.
