Abstract:
Cultivation of startup culture among university campuses has become a celebrated fashion and demand of 21st
century. As the third mission of university has got popularity among educators, policy makers and university
administrators, the need to induce entrepreneurship education and training to different course and discipline
has been evident across academic ecosystem. This study has been conducted with the focus to investigate the
level of entrepreneurial traits and inclination as a result of introduction to entrepreneurship. The purpose of
this research study is to explore the entrepreneurial trait of B.Tech students of a private university in Madhya
Pradesh which has been taken for research. This study assessed the six entrepreneurial traits of a convenient
sample. The derived level of entrepreneurial traits among students has been empirically tested with cross
sectional data belonging to the same population which has undergone course on entrepreneurship. This study
indicates the lack of ingredients in the existing entrepreneurship syllabus and pedagogy which need to be
improved to strengthen students’ entrepreneurial traits and make the conventional entrepreneurship
education more startup oriented.
