dc.description.abstract The present time of Indian society is going through an interesting changeover. This transition is causing a further increase in the gap between the rich and the poor of the country. While more and more Indians are now a part of the billionaires club, there are now more poor and hungry people on the streets of India than ever before (Harshit Poddar, 10/10/2016). Increased flow of the money now much spent of the social cause work now, therefore more and more social enterprises are springing up in the developing countries with the ‘Bottom of the Pyramid’ poor being classified as a potentially large target market for products and services. Where "SEVA" is considered as "PERAMO DHARM". The present form of the seva i.e. Service becomes important part of the present life and Non Government Organizations are becoming the instruments in rendering the services to the beneficiaries, Social Entrepreneurship (SE) is an emerging research field, the structural dichotomy between social and entrepreneurship, is itself a complicating the both dividing and fertilizing. The present study focused on the challenges and prospects of social entrepreneurship. So the data were collected accordingly and analysed. It is found that the NGOs working in the Bhavnagar district have different challenges, so, they have prospects differences too, respectively. It but obvious that each organization have difference in the work nature and form, so the challenge and prospects differences are individually different. It may found at national level too. en_US
