Abstract:
The authors have made an attempt to represent the realities of small and medium Enterprises in India with a focus on innovations of entrepreneurship in the light of a Regional Workshop on Globalization and Economic Reforms organized by NCT-CMS (2005). Change processes and strategies are discussed with reference to the nine Asian Mega Trends. Value innovation and its relevance for SMES are analyzed in the Indian context. Besides technological innovation, innovations could involve organizational and administrative practices. Cultural and structural constrains of innovation process are also implicated. Entrepreneurship and innovative leadership are integrated because only leaders of organizations could bring in and implement value innovations. The whole process of networking depends on leadership effectiveness, who could, through networking, create opportunities for developing empowerment. The authors suggest a leadership-Networking-empowerment model of Entrepreneurship.
