Abstract:
The delinting of cotton seed is a social
necessity as it saves some oil in extraction
operatiun by removing cotton fibre adhering
to the seed further to the ginning process and
prior to the extraction process. In the Delinting
machine, cleaned cotton seed is fed through a
Hopper and in a Roll Box, the seed is sawn
by a mechanism. A cylindrical brush in this
set up, removes the fibre from the saws and is
blown over a slowly rotating screen and condenser.
