Abstract:
Cross staff is an accessory made of Aluminium
needed for the resting of Dumpy Level,
surveyor's instrument at site. It has got
circular base and four vertical rib slightly radial
on both the faces. The ribs have got view
hole opposite to rectangular slot. A hollow
Aluminium cast come is rivetted on the base
the cross staff in order to accommodate the
wooden triped stend.
