dc.description.abstract A divider is a drawing instrument used by draughtsmen and engineers for transferring measurements and for marking of Equal distances. It is also called as plain divider provided with detachable needles with or without fine adjustment device. Dividers of sizes 112 mm complete with needle and screws is generally used. In the drawing instrument set it is also one of the items either in the form of utility set or engineers set of instruments. These are also designed as springs box dividers and sector head dividers. This scheme envisages the manufacture of only plain dividers. en_US
