The development of entrepreneurship is essential not only to solve the problem of industrial development but also to solve the problems of unemployment and balanced regional development. Most of the developing countries have of late, adopted a deliberate policy of developing and encouraging small entrepreneurs as a strategy for the overall development. The Entrepreneurship Development Programmes during the last few years have become a novel approach for harnessing vast untapped resources and these programmes have been considered as an important measure for developing entrepreneurs. The aim of this paper is to examine the role played by Entrepreneurship Development Programmes conducted by various organisations in Punjab. |
